Electronic message centers

EMC Signs for Churches, Schools, and Public Buildings

Service times, game nights, early release days, fundraisers. When the message changes every week, an electronic message center (EMC) does the work a letter board never could. We design, permit, build, and install it from our Woodland shop.

Why an EMC

One sign for every announcement

Churches, schools, and fire districts post something new almost every week. An EMC lets your staff update the sign from a computer instead of a ladder and a box of letters, and it stays readable day and night.

We handle the whole job in-house: sizing, the permit, the electrical, the structure, and the install. Many cities set rules on brightness, message hold time, and motion near roads. We work those rules into the design before anything is ordered.

Already have a monument or pole sign? We will check whether the existing structure can carry an EMC section before you pay for a new one.

Get a Quote

How much does an EMC sign cost?
It depends on the display size, the pixel pitch, full color or single color, and whether we can use your existing structure. Call (360) 225-6826 or send photos of your site and we will give you a free estimate.
Does our city allow electronic signs?
Many cities in Washington and Oregon allow them, with rules on brightness, how long a message holds, and motion. Some residential zones limit them. We check your city's code and handle the permit.
Can we keep our existing sign?
Often, yes. If the structure and footing are sound, we can add an EMC section and new faces. If it needs to be replaced, we will tell you plainly.
